Wingate Healthcare provides care for people with Alzheimer’s and age-related brain disease through our Special Care Services. Residents of these innovative care programs enjoy a full continuum of personalized senior care for every need, from early to late stage conditions. Designed to enhance residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being, our proactive, safe environments allow residents to maximize their potential, focus on their abilities, and build their self-esteem.
The care partnership between our memory-impaired residents, their families, and our Alzheimer’s Association-trained staff creates a supportive home that caters to the unique needs of each individual. Our specially-trained team is dedicated to assessing residents’ behaviors, providing them with enrichment opportunities, and responding to their changing needs with understanding and compassion. The team’s full-time behavioral consultant assists with assessing and caring for the resident with challenging behavior needs. This consultant also trains and supports our caregivers.
Because family members are an integral part of the recovery process, Wingate also offers ongoing education and support to help them understand the challenges their loved ones face and best enjoy their time together.
Alzheimer's and memory-impaired disorders care is offered at Wingate Healthcare facilities in Hampden (Mary Lyon), Haverhill, Kingston, and Springfield. Wingate's Pickford Place at The Inn, located on Kingston's Silver Lake Campus, specializes in Alzheimer's assisted living and dementia care.
