Congratulations to the employees of Wingate at Reading, Mary Lyon Skilled Care Center and Wingate at Springfield, who worked hard to make their facilities deficiency free! 

Every 9-15 months (from the previous survey), the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) comes in unannounced to conduct a survey under a contract from Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).   The survey is a resident base inspection that looks at the 400+ regulations governing patient care and life in a nursing home.  It is an honor to be cited no deficiencies and is evidence of the hard work on behalf of the facility.  The inspection includes resident and family interviews, observations of resident care, a look at the resident environment and reviews of clinical records.  Congratulations, and thank you to all employees that worked hard to make their Wingate facility deficiency free!
